Ramona Ilea summarizes philosophical views on animal ethics in an engaging and fun way. She explains why philosopher Peter Singer is considered the founder of the modern animal rights movement even though he does not believe in rights. Singer’s ideas still influence debates about animal ethics today. Dr. Ilea is professor of philosophy at Pacific University where she has been teaching courses in ethics and logic since 2006. She has published two books and numerous articles, and she has done many conference presentations.
