Presentation by Kirsten Hunter. “Nasty Women Get Shit Done” (NWGSD) emerged in Portland in response to the 2016 presidential election. People gathered together to brainstorm ways to actively resist the xenophobia, racism, misogyny, ableism, anti-LGBTQIA, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, anti-Earth platform, and the policies of the new administration. Kirsten Hunter is VP and co-founder of NWGSD. She has volunteered for campaigns since Michael Dukakis’s presidential run in 1987.
