Realities of War in Ukraine

From FH. Representatives of DAWN share updates on the humanitarian, medical, and mental health needs on the ground in Ukraine, where refugees go and the challenges they face, and will explore how aid is being delivered and causes of disruptions. Providing psychotherapy and mental health services to defenders on the frontlines several times a year, they will report on the realities Ukrainians face today and how local efforts here can make a meaningful difference. Valentina Pishchanskaya-Cayanan, DAWN's VP, is a tenured faculty at Clark College, counsels privately locally, and leads Ukraine initiatives there and here. Yulia Brockdorf, DAWN's President, is a psychotherapist, former president of Oregon Board of Licensed Dietitians, provides frontline psychotherapy and aid, international advocacy, and advises on Defense Tech.
