Framed by the lens of reproductive justice, and broadened to address the experiences and needs of sexually diverse communities, modern comprehensive sex ed aims to provide young people with the information, access, and agency to make safe and fulfilling decisions about their sexuality. Natalie Burton is an educator with Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. She provides training and education on sexual and reproductive health to youth and youth-serving professionals. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, she is mother to three adolescents.

At FH. Taylor Cass Talbott will give the history and current work of Ground Score Association, a democratic waste picker organization in Portland, Oregon that fills gaps in the materials management system through decent, low barrier work and collective organizing. Talbott is the co-director and co-founder of Ground Score Association, a democratic organization of waste pickers in Portland, Oregon, and works as the Advocacy Coordinator for the International Alliance of Waste Pickers. Taylor has worked at the nexus of waste reduction, job creation, and social inclusion for more than a decade, as a project manager, organizer, dumpster diver, and artist.
